SPLASH TOUR AT SPIER

for INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

A group of wine buyers visited Spier farm and were treated to an immersive experience on the Werf (farmyard), with special interactive exhibitions and food/wine offerings placed in or near the historical buildings surrounding the Werf.

A highlight was an exhibition of wine tastes and flavours. Led by Cellar Master Frans K. Smit, delegates were shown the flavour components of wine - from raw fennel, to cigar box, pencil shavings, leather, caramel and blackberries. They were asked which flavours were most identifiable in the wines. This prompted a lively and information-rich conversation.

Ideal as a summer immersion, this event also made it possible for delegates to take a closer look at all the historical buildings on the farm, and the art housed in them.

All installation content was conceptualised, hand made and specially crafted / curated by Grand Central.
